Wednesday, April 19

Guests from abroad join their Israeli hosts for the Seder ritual. (It is recommended to bring a Hagada in your own language)

Accommodation: After the Seder some guests will be accommodated at the Yitzhak Rabin Hostel, while others stay overnight at their host's.

 

1st day (Thursday, April 20)

Arrival 11:30 - 12:30

Arrival at the Rabin Guest House; Check in the rooms before or after lunch- upon availability.

Family Reception Desk placed in the lobby. You will receive a name tag and deposit materials for the family exhibition.

13:00 - 14:30: A Get-together lunch at the Guest House restaurant.

14:30 - 16:00: Check- in and Balcony meeting. Time to get acquainted and exchange some vital gossip.

16:00 - 19:00: From ROOTS to FRUITS - Family origin and history at The Jerusalem Hall

  • Opening Words -  Dan Steinitz (Ramot-Hashavim).

  • Exploring the origin of the Steinitz Family -  Banini Steinitz (Rehovot) and participants from the audience.

  • Revealing branches of the family -  by the representative of each branch.

  • Coffee and cookies break

  • Interviews of the honorable Steinitzs: Ulla and Marco Tenenbaum - led by Katia. Erich (Ezra) Steinitz - by Michael, Elizabeth Steinitz -  by Lani, Toni Steinitz -  by Banini.

19:30-20:30: Dinner

20:30: A Groisse Simche mit die Kleizmer band

2nd day (Friday, April 21)

08:00-09:30: Breakfast

10:00-12:00: Personal presentations - at the Jerusalem Hall

In this session participants are invited to make their personal identity presentations. Anything from personal, or professional achievements, to Pikanteria. (Up to 10 min per person).

12:00-12:30: Coffee and cookies break.

12:30-14:00: Inter-Steinitz-Net - in the Jerusalem Hall

  • From Germany to New Zealand - The Haiselden family, New Zealand.

  • Web Site Stories -  Jan Steinitz (Berlin).

  • The best from the Family Archive - Reni Steinitz (Berlin).

14:00-15:00: Lunch

16:00-19:00: The audio Show - in the "Jerusalem Hall"

Around the screen: videos and slides, photos and documents brought by the participants.

Coffee and cookies break

~17:30-19:00: What's Your Story? -   The "Zion Hall"

An optional get-together for the younger by age or spirit. Led by Shirly Steinitz (Jerusalem).

19:30-20:30: Friday Evening Dinner

20:30: Closing session - At the Jerusalem Hall. Led by Yuval Steinitz (Haifa).

  • Impressions from the get-together of the younger by age or spirit.

  • Dialogues and discussions raised by participants.

  • Reviewing the current reunion, planing the future one.

  • Nocturno!

Saturday, 22 April

Breakfast until ~ 09:30.

Check-out:

  • Guests will pay personally at the hotel's checkout desk the difference between their advance deposit and their actual expenses.
  • Those who take part in the tentative tour in Jerusalem will be able to leave their luggage in the hotel and pick it up after lunch.

10:00-13:00: (still tentative) Tour in Jerusalem.

13:00-15:00: (still tentative) Lunch at a restaurant somewhere in Jerusalem.

~15:00 Guests collect their luggage left in the Guest House.

 

Kid's Activities - at the David Hall.

For the kid's enjoyment and for their parent's convenience we offer a Children's special game room and a nice guide who will offer them a rich mixture of an organized as well as free activity. The room will be open for us from Thursday's after noon through Friday 10:00 -  19:00.

Parents with kids are asked to bring few games to be put in the room for the benefit of the children, such as: Puzzles, card games, Chess, floor games, bowling or any other games which can involve few participants. We also plan on offering a movie- video show.

 

Remarks

The above program should be regarded as a flexible framework: We are open to add-hock changes according to requests for additional contributions not mentioned here. Participants not listed in this program, who wish to take an active part, are encouraged to do so at any time, and to contact the organizers (Dani Steinitz, Rachel Cohen, Banini & Rivka Steinitz).
